Sometimes we need to re-invent the wheel, but honestly not often. And even if we do, it’s best to start by using a wheel that’s already been invented.
Why?
Simply put, someone else has already spent a lot of time and energy thinking about this problem, and we should leverage that knowledge to help ourselves get to a proof of concept, an MVP, or a newly validated idea faster than if we just build it ourselves.
